Dr. Heather Bird is a California and Nationally licensed acupuncturist. Her specialty is pain management, pediatrics, infertility and increasing physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well being. While treating her patients, a combination of different tools like acupuncture, Qi Gong, Reiki, Chinese herbs, nutritional counseling, cupping, gua sha, gentle electro-stimulation, massage and other energy modalities can be used to promote balance.

She earned her Doctorate of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at Five Branches University. Her doctoral capstone explored the effect of acupuncture on EEG coherent Gamma brainwave activity as defined by frequency distribution in patients age 30-69 who reported experiencing severe spinal discomfort.

Over the years Dr. Heather Bird has traveled multiple times to Asia to study eastern medicine. As an acupuncturist, she's worked with a wide variety of clients, including top athletes, executives, veterans, geriatric, drug dependent, and low income patients. Dr. Bird has also spent many years studying under naturopathic doctors, chiropractors, and acupuncturists. She is a dedicated daily meditator. Previously, she was an EMT and Wilderness First Responder. While earning her Bachelor's, she taught First Aid and CPR at UC Davis.

Her favorite color is blue and her favorite animal is the river otter.
